To have them all together in one package is the icing on the cake. A lot of these mixes are known and cherished, and rightly so, but others are brand spanking new. And its all great - Koze imprints his own touches, sometimes subtle, sometimes dramatic, but consistently effective and most importantly (with remixes) interesting. He mutates my favourite Battles track from a terrifying cacophony of rhythm in to an electronic lullaby, turns Matthew Dear’s "Elementary Lover" into something I can't even describe, and forces a German torch by Hildegard Knef through his strange electronic vision. Koze could arguably fight for the title of man of the moment with everything he touches turning into the proverbial gold, and this collection serves as a handy calling card for German’s talents. DJ Koze has always been a bit classier than that though, as demonstrated by his choice of artists to remix – Sascha Funke, Ben Watt and Nôze to name but three. #Black lips 200 million thousand rar full#
“Remixers in the air… tada, remixers in the air.” Remix albums seem to be everywhere at the moment, thrusting their dirty wares in your face with the promise of a cheap thrill and a head full of regrets.
